I have this for my makeup palettes for the corner of my floor vanity, so not a bookshelf weight. It is a little annoying to put together because everything is a press fit, so it takes some extra work to get all the pieces to fit and wiggle together just right. But once it is together, it should be great. Spins well, but I also haven’t overloaded it with weight (again, not books)The two shelves do hold like, 120 palettes, so like 80-120 books the size of a kids book to a manga.
