I have both the SABRENT and the Movo TRS versions. The SABRENT works for the speakers, but was very poor, low volume and staticy mic for TRS plugs. There are many reviews on most of the different SABRENT models that claim this issue. It was sad, so got the Movo hoping it would work better. The issue with most reviews is that people are not saying whether they are using only the speaker part and whether the mic specifically works. The Movo worked well with TRS speaker and TRS mic. It also worked with TRSS speaker, but did not work (as expected) with TRSS mic. It is also a little thinner than the SABRENT, which is nice. Windows input test showed 100% gain at 100% volume setting, so mic pickup is great! I am using my Sennheiser headset for testing. At 100% mic volume, there was a hissing sound in the background, but turning down the input volume to 80%, the ambient noise was no longer present.
